Backwoods Fabrications started with custom vinyl graphics way back in 2002 and has grown into a small, hands-on fabrication shop specializing in hard-to-find automotive parts, custom CNC-machined components, additive manufacturing, decals, apparel, and one-off pieces for car enthusiasts, clubs, and shows.

A big part of what we do comes from our own involvement in the hobby. We’re Oldsmobile owners ourselves, and many of our products started because we needed a part that was no longer available, wanted something better than what was on the market, or had an idea that simply didn’t exist yet.

We also continue to push what’s possible with modern additive manufacturing. 3D printing has become a major part of what we do, allowing us to design, prototype, test, and produce functional automotive components that would be difficult or impractical to manufacture using traditional methods. We continually experiment with new materials, processes, and manufacturing techniques to create parts that are not only accurate, but durable enough for real-world automotive use.

Our involvement in the car community goes well beyond making parts. We’re actively involved with car clubs and in organizing and coordinating car shows and automotive events ourselves. That hands-on experience gives us a different perspective on what clubs and show organizers actually need. From custom awards, apparel, decals, signage, and event materials to helping work through the details of putting on a show, we understand it because we’re right there doing it too.

Everything we design and produce is done right here in the backwoods of Mid-Michigan by Chris and Stacy Weston. From billet aluminum and CNC machining to advanced 3D-printed components, decals, apparel, awards, and personalized pieces, we combine modern manufacturing technology with an old-school approach to building things: make it right, make it useful, and stand behind it.
